{"id":2605,"date":"2023-12-02T19:28:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-02T18:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saltoagencia.com.ar\/?p=2605"},"modified":"2024-08-19T19:33:04","modified_gmt":"2024-08-19T17:33:04","slug":"ai-and-the-rule-of-law-at-the-inter-american-court-of-human-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saltoagencia.com.ar\/en\/ai-and-the-rule-of-law-at-the-inter-american-court-of-human-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"AI and the Rule of Law at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From 15 to 17 November 2023, at the&nbsp;Inter-American Court of Human Right<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/inter-american-court-of-human-rights\/\">s<\/a> in Costa Rica, we had&nbsp;three days of intense dialogue on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=ai&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7131448336997347328\">#AI<\/a> and the Rule of Law with Judges and Directors of National Judicial Training institutions from 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the support of the European Commission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with a team of UNESCO colleagues between Paris and Latin America, I had the pleasure of being responsible for the academic coordination of this high-level activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We used the <a href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000387331\">UNESCO Global Toolkit on AI and the Rule of Law<\/a> to talk about how AI systems are being used in judicial administrations and discussed how AI governance is possible through international and regional human rights standards.
