In June and July 2025, Natalia Zuazo, founder and director of Salto Agencia, participated in the AI Summer School organized by KU Leuven University in Belgium. This intensive program, coordinated by the Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP), focused on the legal, ethical, and political challenges posed by artificial intelligence, and brought together experts from around the world to discuss key issues in AI governance.

With more than ten years of experience working at the intersection of technology, democracy, and public policy in Latin America, Natalia contributed to discussions on how to develop and regulate AI systems that respect fundamental rights, social justice, and democratic values.

The program addressed topics such as the European Union’s AI Act, international regulatory frameworks, algorithmic accountability, and interdisciplinary approaches to technology governance. It also highlighted the importance of genuine international cooperation and the inclusion of Global South perspectives in shaping fairer technological futures.

Natalia’s participation reinforces her commitment to advancing public-interest technologies, designing inclusive digital policies, and advising governments, civil society organizations, and multilateral institutions on responsible AI governance.
