🌎 Influence in the Digital Space: Ethics, Information, and Impact in Latin America

On October 23, during UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week 2025 in Cartagena, Natalia Zuazo will moderate the panel “Influence in the Digital Space: Content Creation and Information Dynamics in Latin America.”

The session will bring together content creators, academics, and representatives from influencer associations across the region to discuss how new digital voices are reshaping the information ecosystem and challenging the boundaries of traditional journalism.

Based on findings from UNESCO’s study “Influencers in Latin America: Content Creation, Information, Ethical Dilemmas, and Challenges of a New Type of Work,” the panel will explore media and information literacy (MIL) as a tool to strengthen information integrity and promote ethical communication in an environment increasingly shaped by generative artificial intelligence.
